    Executive Assistant (IOF)

    Washington, DC or Remote

    The Executive Assistant will provide administrative and scheduling support to the Executive Director and offer similar support to others on the senior leadership team and IOF staff as time allows. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to working in clean energy, climate, or related fields; possess extremely close attention to detail; and display an ability to think independently. They will be able to anticipate the Executive Director’s needs and, over time, make strategic scheduling and related decisions on their behalf. Previous experience supporting a senior-level executive is beneficial but not required for a candidate who can demonstrate their ability to work in this environment. The Executive Assistant’s daily administrative duties include, but are not limited to, overseeing the Executive Director’s and organizational calendars; completing expense reports; drafting talking points and preparing correspondence; arranging detailed travel plans and itineraries; creating PowerPoint and Excel documents upon request; and preparing briefing materials for meetings and events by collecting and compiling information from relevant IOF staff. The Executive Assistant will also contribute to planning organization-wide convenings with other funders and stakeholders and manage projects led by the Executive Director.

    Communications Director (IOF)

    The Communications Director will lead Invest in Our Future's (IOF) communications strategies and related grantmaking to advance clean energy deployment and highlight its benefits. By strengthening the communications capacity of deployment focused groups, the Director will help increase project success and positively shape local perceptions of clean energy, especially in rural, conservative, and working-class communities. In collaboration with the Builders Network Director, they will design and execute programs that activate network members as storytellers across local, state, and regional media. The Director will also oversee pilots and partnerships to refine narrative strategies that influence public and policymaker opinion, working closely with the Builders Network Director and IOF Program Officers. By elevating the communications capacity of deployment focused groups, the Director will help increase project success and positively shape local perceptions of clean energy, especially in rural and working‑class communities.
