The Climate Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) Playbook, commissioned and funded by the Climate SMILE Community of Practice and developed by Prime Coalition, is a practical guide for integrating impact measurement and management into climate investing. As capital flowing into climate solutions continues to scale, investors need clear and credible ways to measure real climate impact. Yet many existing IMM frameworks remain fragmented or difficult to apply in a climate–specific context. The Playbook was created to bridge that gap. 

This Playbook brings together leading frameworks, practitioner informed methodologies, and applied examples into a single, accessible resource tailored to the realities of climate impact investing. Rather than offering theory alone, the Playbook serves as a roadmap for embedding IMM across the full investment lifecycle from defining impact objectives and conducting due diligence to portfolio management, reporting, and exit.
